Getting Ready for 2024…MyCom Sets Their Focus on the Future
During October 2023, MyCom embarked on a two-day Retreat with their staff facilitated by Beverly Ann Burks. The Retreat allowed staff and MyCom leadership to reflect on existing MyCom regions, internal and external partnerships, and strategies to engage youth and positively impact their lives.
“I joined MyCom just a little less than six months ago. Since day one, we have moved quickly to keep our regions productive towards their neighborhood goals. We needed to give our Intermediary Team time to stop and think about the overarching direction and to listen to each other about our priorities for the future,” said Michael Copeland, MyCom Chief of Staff.

MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
