Meet Chris Bridge!

Chris is from the MyCom Region of Shaker Heights and a former member of Youth Connect 216 (formerly YWAB).

Chris took the time to share with us some thoughts about his time with the MyCom Network and what he learned as a part of the Youth Connect 216 work.

High School Graduation: 2022

Anticipated College Graduation: Washington University in St. Louis 2026


Ysian: Chris, tell us a little bit about you, where are you from, what school did you attend, ect..

Chris: I am a first-year college student from Shaker Heights passionate about Cleveland and bettering the city.

Ysian: How did you get interested in the MyCom network and mission?

Chris: I was a member of the Youth Workforce Advisory Board, now known as Youth Connect 216.

Ysian: What are the lessons you were able to take-away from your time with MyCom and the MyCom Network?

Chris: Through MyCom, I learned how to engage meaningfully in a team setting.

Ysian: What encouragement would you share with MyCom Youth Today?

Chris: I would tell MyCom youth to research and reach out. You never know what will happen after a cold email.

MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
