How you were involved in MyCom – I was part of the Youth Advocate Network which taught save sex, violence prevention and how to look beyond stereo types.

High School – John Hay High School, graduated 2012

College – Bowling Green State University

What was a lesson you learned while in MyCom that has helped you in life? – One lesson I learned while in MyCom that has helped in life was don’t judge people based off of assumptions.  You should always get to know people before creating an opinion.

What is a piece of advice you would give to a MyCom youth today? – One piece of advice I would give to a MyCom youth is to be themselves.  Often kids are young and get caught up in copying others trying to be someone else.

Have you continued to be connected to MyCom and in what capacity? – I haven’t’ been too connected with MyCom, but I would like to be.  I do however reach out to Beverly Burks who was my adult leader in the Youth Advocacy Network.

What do you hope to be doing in 2-3 years? – Within two years I hope to have a job that allows me to work with youth and made a change in the community.
