“A rock pile ceases to be a rock pile the moment a single man contemplates it, bearing within him the image of a cathedral.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Alex has worked for the past 14 years to promote safety and leadership for young people in Cuyahoga County, OH—previously as Senior Director of Educational Services at Cleveland Rape Crisis Center for more than a decade and now with the MyCom Cleveland intermediary team.  He has presented training programs for teachers, K-12 students, students in higher ed, service members in the US Air Force and Coast Guard, and for parents.  Social Emotional Learning marries two of Alex’s passions—educating about emotional intelligence (EQ) and supporting youth as leaders.  Alex has an MBA with a concentration on Organizational Development and Leadership from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and is proud alum of The College of William and Mary in Virginia.  He is a husband and the father of two young children, with whom he practices Conscious Discipline.
